Lagu ini mengusung uptempo atau tempo tinggi dengan pengaruh India, Timur Tengah dan Eropa Timur, serta menampilkan lirik tentang kesedihan dan kehilangan.
London Recordd merilis lagu tersebut sebagai single pada 7 Mei 1966 di Amerika Serikat; Decca Records merilisnya pada 13 Mei di Inggris. London Records memasukkannya sebagai lagu pembuka pada versi Amerika dari album studio band tahun 1966 Aftermath.[2][3]
